Apricot/Cherry Blossom

Apricot blossom or spring season is one of the best and interesting periods to visit the mountain valley of Karakorum, "HUNZA".
During the spring season, the fruit trees erupt in white blossom and down the valley looks like white carpet. The blossom starts first by the almond trees then apricot trees, cherries, apples, peaches, and pears, give wonderful contrast of blossom among the high snow-capped mountains.
Normally blossom starts from the end of March to end of April in the valley and best to start the trip in the first week of April.

Day 1

Arrival Islamabad

Arrive at Islamabad international airport  Pickup and transfer to the hotel for some rest.  In the afternoon visit Faisal Mosque and later Pakistan Monument and Museum.  In the late afternoon visit F-7 super market, later drive to Daman-e Koh to have the bird eye view of Islamabad city and enjoy the sunset.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Fly to Gilgit or drive to Chilas – Hotel

 Early morning after breakfast, leave for Chilas.  In route enjoy mesmerizing views of cities and villages along Hazara Expressway.  Enjoy the mesmerizing views of Hazara and the rugged mountains of Kohistan, with stopover for pictures, travelling alongside the famous Indus river.  Arrive at Besham for Lunch and some rest before hitting the road for Chilas.  Arrive in Chilas and transfer to hotel.  Later enjoy some delicious Pakistani cuisine.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Drive to Hunza, Overnight Hunza

Early morning drive to Hunza via KKH.  On the way stopover at multiple locations like Nanga Parbat View point, Junction point.  Stopover for pictures on Gilgit Bridge, old Silk rout view point and Rakaposhi Viewpoint.  Arrive at Hunza and transfer to the hotel.  In the evening drive to Karimabad Bazar for shopping and could visit Baltit Fort.  Drive to Duikar to witness the sunset.  Overnight in hotel in Karimabad.

Day 4

Hunza Valley Excursion

After breakfast leave for Gojal (Upper Hunza)  On the way stopover at Ataabad for pictures. Drive further to Borith lake for pictures and drive further.  On the way visit Rainbow bridge, Passu cones view point and Sost Bazar.  One would travel through Khunjerab National Park. Depending on luck you may see Markhor, blue sheep, brown bear or snow leapord.  Visit Khunjerab pass and travel back.  Stopover at Sost for lunch.  Drive back to Hussaini and transfer to hotel for rest.  Subjected to time, visit Hussaini Suspension bridge and drive to Gulmit to visit Korgah Carpet center. After dinner at local restaurant overnight in hotel in Hussaini /Borith

Day 5

Gojal-Skardu

Early morning drive to Karimabad.  Visit Baltit and Altit fort, if not visited earlier.  Arrive at Gilgit, drive through Gilgit Bazar and stopover at a restuant on Ghizer River for lunch.  Later start the journey towards Skardu.  Arrive at Skardu and Transfer to the hotel.  Subjected to time, visit Skardu Bazar for pictures and possible shopping.  Enjoy Balti dinner before enjoying a well-deserved sleep.  overnight at hotel.

Day 6

Fly back from Skardu

Have early breakfast.  Subjected to the available time of flight drive to Katpana desert to enjoy a unique desert in the mountains.  Later depart for airport to catch flight for Karachi.  Hugs and Goodbyes and safe journey.
